My oldest son is a member of the Canadian Military Police (proud mom moment)! When he is able to, he sends me pictures so I can paint some of his travel story.

Last year he spent time in Happy Valley, Goose Bay, NFLD. Miles and miles of wild beauty, so dense and fierce yet tranquil and grounding. When I imagine myself stepping through the forest, I can smell the pine and dirt and salt water. I hear the crunch of twigs under my feet and the call of creatures in the trees.

This is my Happy Valley, Goose Bay.
